Sweet as Honey!
I recently just graduated from UC Irvine, where I gained my B.S. in Informatics (specializing in Human-Computer Interaction) and a minor in Health Informatics.
I meet the intersection between health and tech through user-centered digital design. My ambition lies in improving accessible healthcare by designing creative and impactful applications in telehealth that will advance the world we live in today. While there's still much for me to learn, there's much I'd love to share with others as well!
"Aerodynamically a bee's body is not made to fly; the good thing is that the bee doesn't know "
While this “fact” may not be scientifically true, the message still stands: in a world full of unknowns, there are no limits to what we can achieve.
As a UI/UX designer, my goal is to uncover these hidden possibilities, transforming complex, everyday challenges into user-centered solutions. I’m driven to create experiences that not only solve problems, but also meaningfully shape how people interact with the world around them.
Since high school, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in tech but was also curious about exploring a field in cognitive science (ask me more about this!). My journey into UI/UX design began in Stacy Branham’s INF 131 course at UCI — my first ever real exposure to human-computer interaction and accessibility in design. It was then that something within me clicked and I realised I had found my future career path.
During my journey, I've learned to ask myself: What does my client need rather than want? How can a single feature achieve the core goal? Why would someone use a product like that? . . . Everything started to come together as I explored my way through developing skills in UI/UX design these past three years.
Since then, I’ve leveraged my interpersonal skills for good, using them to understand a person’s needs from a single conversation (and maybe a few survey questions). Now, I’m more eager than ever to apply my education and experience in more real-world settings, and to join others who are like-minded in influencing the world for the better through improving design in the systems we use everyday!
